The 2012 Pittsburgh RV Show, being held at the Pittsburgh Convention Center, opened Jan. 14 with a record first-day attendance topping 6,000 visitors.
“These are the best numbers we’ve seen in 10 years,” said Show Manager Rob Young of Three Rivers Promotions Inc.
Total visitors exceeded 12,000 people as of show closing Wednesday evening. The event runs through Saturday and Young said that attendance could reach an all-time high of 25,000. The event attracted 18,000 visitors in 2011.
Dealers displaying at the show are also reporting an increase in sales. Steve Deffenbaugh, general manager of Clem’s RV & Trailer Sales, Ellwood City, said that sales are up 20% over this time last year.
