Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales tumbled 21.9% in November, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), while registrations were down 8.6% for the first 11 months.
Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader through November, capturing a 24.4% market share, followed by Winnebago Industries Inc. (16.5%) and Thor Industries Inc. (15.6%).
November Class A registrations dropped 12.3% from the year prior and were down 3.2% year-to-date. For the first 11 months, Thor was No. 1 in Canadian Class A sales with a 20% market share, ahead of Winnebago (17.1%) and Fleetwood RV Inc. (15.3%).
Registrations in the lower volume Class C segment plummeted 45.5% for the month and were down 13.8% year-to-date. For the 11 months, Forest River held a commanding lead in the category with a 38.3% market share followed by Winnebago (15.9%) and Forest River’s Coachmen Industries Inc. division (12.6%).
