Middlebury, Ind.-based dealer Outpost R.V. Inc. has launched a truck camper specific website for current and prospective slide-in camper owners, designed to provide consumers with information on an “under-served segment of the recreational vehicle market.”

According to a press release, the new website helps customers match their existing truck with an appropriate sized truck camper by displaying all makes and models that fit the vehicle. They can then “build” the camper by selecting the options they desire with the MSRP price automatically updating in real time. Customers may also fill out a request to have discounted pricing e-mailed to them instantly.

As an alternative, if the customers do not have a truck, they can pick the floorplan of a camper they prefer and the site will suggest a make and model of truck that will be a safe match.

Since launching the microsite five days ago, has logged strong traffic without the use of pay-per-click advertising, said Kyle Herschberger, Internet sales manager at Outpost R.V. Some site statistics include: 1,146 visits; 8,321 pageviews; 7.26 pages/visit; 00:03:06 average visit duration.
