Tracie Fisher, executive director of the Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds in Michigan (ARVC Michigan), has been approved by the ARVC Foundation board to be the newest member of the Board of Regents of the National School of RV Park and Campground Management, according to a news release.
Fisher has been an instructor at the campground school for four years, presenting classes in web technologies and assisting with the organization’s website. She currently sits on the school’s Marketing Committee and hosts classes as needed.
“I was fortunate to have attended the school in 2005 and 2007 as a campground manager,” Fisher stated. “I learned volumes of things which helped me tremendously in learning how to be more effective and to improve the park’s operations. I believe in the mission and sense of purpose shared by all the regents and I am truly honored to have been chosen to join them.”
The National School of RV Park and Campground Management began in 1994 and will be celebrating its 20th year at the upcoming school session in February 2013. More than 1,800 students have attended the program, annually offered at the Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, W. Va. The ARVC Foundation and Board of Regents are committed to providing a unique opportunity of immersion for highly motivated, education oriented park operators who seek to improve themselves and their parks.
