Cargo-Lite trailer from Micro-Lite

The all-aluminum, 12-foot-long Cargo-Lite trailer from Micro-Lite Trailer Manufacturing Inc., Elkhart, Ind., can be used to haul toys or for sleeping off the ground. ”It’s extremely versatile,” said Jim Mulder, product rep and owner of Gunlake Paddle Sports, Wayland, Mich., one of a half-dozen dealers selling Micro-Lite products in the U.S. and Canada. Most sales, however, are factory-direct, Mulder said. Other of Micro-Lite’s all-aluminum products include the Moto-Mate, one-person motorcycle trailer; the Wazat travel trailer; the Pup, a 360-pound folding camping trailer; the Cargo-Lite Xtreme; and the Vymeron toy hauler. The company was founded in 2007 by former Coachmen executive Chuck Ornduff Sr. and his son, Chuck Ornduff Jr., company president. The Cargo-Lite features RV-style screened entrance doors with running boards on each side of the trailer and a rear door that can be outfitted with a ramp or barn doors. It also is designed with two screened windows and roof vent with fan. At 48-inches-high, the Cargo-Lite interior is equipped with a countertop with a cubbyhole for storage beneath. With a dry weight of 790 pounds, the Cargo-Lite can be hauled by just about any four-wheeled vehicle. Options include a roof rack and air conditioner. MRSP: $6,190.
