The North American Trailer Dealers Association has announced that the second annual Canadian Dealer Summit will be held during the 2012 NATDA Trade Show Sept. 6-8 in St. Louis, Mo.
The Summit will feature guest speakers, including QAI Laboratories and Flaman Group of Companies, with presentations designed specifically for the Canadian dealer audience, according to a news release.
“NATDA has always embraced its Canadian members and have put in many hours of research and development to offer specific education and services for Canadian trailer dealers,” said Andy Ackerman, NATDA president. “We recognize that Canada is a different market with different needs than the U.S., and we are devoted to serving those needs to the best of our ability. We are excited to be able to offer a special 90 days free floor plan program through GE and the participating trailer manufacturers, and a new retail financing solution available only for our Canadian dealer members. Both of these new programs will be available at the 2012 NATDA Trade Show.”
Topics at the Canadian Dealer Summit will include: Guest speakers from Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) and Steve Whittington, discussing: United States versus Canadian compliance, efficient importation of U.S. trailers into Canada, braking requirements, towing capacities, an overview of Canadian Federal and Provincial regulations, and the impact regulations have on customers and to Dealers.
The Canadian Dealer Summit is free for all dealers and exhibitors that have a connection to the industry. The NATDA Trade Show is also free for all dealers to attend and walk the floor.
