Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales declined 21.2% in June while registrations rose 2.7% for the six months. Statistical Surveys Inc. reported that data for the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario are incomplete.
Forest River Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader through June, capturing a 24.6% market share, followed by Thor Industries Inc. (23.1%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (14.1%).
June Class A registrations fell 22.8% from the year prior and 1.5% year-to-date. Thor was No. 1 in the category for the first six months with a 23.1% market share, ahead of Fleetwood RV Inc. (15.7%) and Winnebago (14.8%).
In the Class C segment, sales dropped 19.9% for June but were up 6.4% for the six months. Forest River held the No. 1 spot year-to-date with a 35.9% market share followed by Thor (23.1%) and Winnebago (13.4%).
