SSI: Class B Sales Record 17.4% Gain in June

Year-over-year Class B motorhome sales continued to gain traction in the second quarter, showing 17.4% growth in June, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. For the first six months, registrations were up 26.1% compared to 2011.

Through June, Roadtrek Motorhomes Inc. retained its lead in Class B sales, owning a 36% market share, while fellow Canadian builder Pleasure-Way Industries Ltd. was second with a 19.9% share.

Thor Industries Inc. was the top U.S. manufacturer for the six months, holding the No. 3 slot with an 19.2% market share, followed by Winnebago Industries Inc. at 15.6%.
