Mattapoisett, Mass.-based “Rollin’ On TV” announced the addition of KLBC TV Channel 2, Laughlin, Nev., to its station lineup. Trend: Young Buyers Back in ‘New Car’ Market

Young buyers are inching back into the new-vehicle auto market after several years on the sidelines, helped by easing credit and a slightly improving job market. “Younger buyers have returned to market at a higher rate than any other age category,” according to a recent report by J.D. Judge Issues Final Ruling in FEMA Trailer Suit

A federal judge gave his final approval Thursday (Sept. 27) to a $42.6 million class-action settlement between companies that made and installed government-issued trailers after hurricanes in 2005 and Gulf Coast storm victims who claim they were exposed to hazardous fumes while living in the shelters. New Jersey RV dealers reported strong sales during the 3rd Annual NJRVDA Fall RV Expo, held September 21-23 at Six Flags Great Adventure, a new location for the show. Thor Posts 4Q Growth, Record Year-End Sales

Jackson Center, Ohio-based Thor Industries Inc. today (Sept. 26) reported double-digit gains in its fourth quarter and record sales for its fiscal year, ended July 31. Sales for the fourth quarter were $888.2 million, up 15% from $770.5 million in the fourth quarter last year. Net income during the period was $44.4 million, up 20% from $36.9 million in the fourth quarter a year ago. Basic earnings per share were 84¢, an increase of 27% from 66¢ last year. RVIA: August Shipments Climb to 5-Year High

RV wholesale shipments in August surged 15.7% ahead of the same month last year reaching 24,460 units, the strongest August monthly total in five years. Shipments of all towable RVs were up 14.6% but it was motorhomes which grew the most, improving 27.3% over prior year totals. Year-to-date, RV shipments have now improved by 10.5% to 202,305 units and represent an annualized pace of more than 276,600 units. San Fran Bans Overnight RV Parking in Areas

Despite concerns from advocates for the homeless, San Francisco officials on Tuesday (Sept. 26) enacted a ban on overnight parking of recreational vehicles in certain parts of The City. Starting March 1, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will begin installing signs prohibiting the parking of vehicles more than 22 feet in length or 7 feet in height between midnight and 6 a.m in some areas.
