RVDA of B.C. Sponsors October Tech Classes
The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of British Columbia is offering three days of hands-on and classroom training presented by factory representatives from Atwood Mobile Products, Suburban, Norcold/ Thetford Products and Atlas Trailer Coach Products, according to a news release.
The class will be held Oct. 23-25 at Okanagan College in Kelowna, British Columbia.
The cost to attend for RVDA of British Columbia members is $225. For non-members, the cost is $325. Registration will be capped at 30 students.
A brief description of the courses and their instructors follows:
- Suburban – Ronnie Ellison, service manager, AIRXCEL Inc., Suburban Division; featuring Furnace and Water Heater
- Norcold/Thetford Products – Nathan Richard, technical training and service, Thetford / Norcold; featuring training on warranty and technical information for the RV technician, service managers or parts department personnel, consisting of hands-on and interactive classroom-style information on Norcold Refrigerators and Thetford products. Some service manuals will be available as part of this training.
- Atwood Mobile Products – Chantal Hershberger, customer service lead, Atwood Mobile Products; featuring training on furnaces and water heaters, including service contact information; required tools and equipment; identifying product by model and serial number; material training; sequence of operations; component identification; testing in volts, ohms and amps; installation – gas pressure, voltage, ducting; return air hands-on testing, disassembling, and reassembling; and warranty procedures.
- Atlas Trailer Coach Products – Chris Wheeler, Atlas Trailer Coach Products; featuring the “Magnifinder,” an electronic catalogue for parts and resource information. The Magnifinder is owned & supported by DTI parts in Middlebury, Ind. It contains breakdown information for over 100 industry brands and manufacturing component products related to the RV industry. Magnifinder has a wealth of information in technical support for service and parts personnel including breakdowns, troubleshooting, tech notes and retrofitting.
