The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) honored HGTV and Nancy Glass Productions with the association’s Distinguished Achievement in RV Journalism Award at America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pa., on Sept. 10. Kevin Broom, RVIA’s director of media relations (left in photo), presented the award to Matt Noce, senior producer with HGTV/Nancy Glass Productions. The HGTV/Nancy Glass Production crew was in Hershey to film for the “RV2013″ special to air on the network early next year. “It is an honor to present HGTV and Nancy Glass Productions with RVIA’s Distinguished Achievement in RV Journalism Award,” said RVIA Chairman Gregg Fore in announcing the association’s award recipients earlier this year at the RVIA Annual Meeting. “HGTV is one of the country’s highest rated cable television networks with 99 million viewing households. For 14 consecutive years, the network has produced and aired an RV special that focuses national attention on RV travel and camping. This year, the ‘RV 2012′ special highlighted 22 RVs from all major product classes while following three families on the hunt for an RV.” RVIA’s Distinguished Achievement in RV Journalism Award is presented to journalists for exemplary coverage of the RV industry or RV travel before national audiences. Past honorees have included travel guru Arthur Frommer, travel writer Peter Greenberg, and RV cinematographer John Holod.
