Organizers are looking to best last year’s strong attendance for the upcoming Oklahoma RV Association’s 2012 State Convention, slated to run Nov. 11-13 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Resort in Tulsa.

According to a press release, the convention schedule will address current affairs and changes affecting the RV industry and will include some of the RV industry’s top speakers. Recreation Vehicle Industry Association President (RVIA) Richard Coon, Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) President Phil Ingrassias, Tom Walworth of Statistical Surveys Inc., John Haymond, Roger Vergara, Chuck Marzahn, Tom King and Sheril Vergara are all scheduled to present during the program on Monday.

The convention kicks off Sunday with an 18-hole golf tournament free for all participants this year, followed by a welcome reception in the evening. On Monday, the noted speakers will present their seminars, followed by a President’s Banquet Monday evening. Headliner entertainment during the evening presentation is “Playing By Air,” which also will also be performing for the kids at The Children’s Hospital At Saint Francis in Tulsa.

“It is very rewarding for the Oklahoma RV Association to bring the bonus entertainment to these kids”, stated Sheril Vergara of RH Power & Associates Inc., executive director for the association. “Playing By Air performed recently for military families at the White House and they always bring huge smiles and laughs to every age group with their talents and program. The kids and the RV dealers are in for a real treat.”

The convention caps off with business meetings on Tuesday morning and will also include a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle ticket to help offset convention costs.
