Ken Ardnt

Ken Arndt, 59, president of Repco Marketing in Marietta, Ga., passed away on Oct. 28 after a battle with cancer.

A long-standing figure in the RV industry, Arndt will be remembered for his many career contributions and for the relationships he cultivated.

He began his career in 1979 working for A&E Systems in the Southeast and was instrumental in the growth of A&E for nearly a decade. Starting out as southeast territory manager, Arndt was recognized as a top performer and was later promoted to vice president of sales overseeing all accounts before A&E was acquired by Dometic Corp. in 1987.

Following a two-year stint with Dometic, Arndt began his own manufacturers’ representative firm, Repco Marketing, in the Atlanta, Ga., area to focus on RV dealers, wholesale distributors and RV manufacturers in the southeast region of the U.S.

Over the course of 33 years, Arndt touched the lives of many in the industry while helping to build a bridge between suppliers and their customers. He provided representation for many companies over the years, most recently Dometic, HWH, King Controls and Velvac. He is survived by a wife and two daughters.

I was sad to see that Ken passed away. My prayers are with his family. Ken and I worked together many years ago after Dometic purchased A&E. Altough I have not seen Ken recently I have good memories of the years we worked together. He was a class person. I feel honored to have known Ken.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ken for the past 10 or so years. He is a true gentleman and always very complementary of others. To say he will be missed is a huge understatement. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family.
