Wichita, Kan.-based supplier Airxcel Inc. today (Oct. 4) announced that it has completed the acquisition of Maxxair Vent Corp.
Founded in 1989 by Allen Thomas, Maxxair is a leading supplier of ventilation solutions to the RV aftermarket. The company’s flagship product, the Maxxair louvered vent cap cover, has sold over 2 million units since its introduction.
“Airxcel is delighted to have completed the acquisition of Maxxair,” said Mel Adams, Airxcel president and CEO. “We have known Allen Thomas for a number of years and are impressed by Maxxair’s track record of product innovation and commitment to exceptional customer service. We look forward to supporting the business as it continues to grow.”
Thomas noted, “I very much wanted to find a home for Maxxair where the new ownership is committed to the type of products and markets served by Maxxair and has the strength and ability to take Maxxair to new levels in sales and product development.”
