The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada honored Garth Bromley as the Canadian Dealer of the Year during its 16th Annual Canada Night Dinner on Monday night (Nov. 26) as part of the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.
Bromley is owner of Transcona Trailer Sales, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and former RVDA of Canada chairman.
Bromley has been in the RV industry for 33 years, having started his career by joining his parents, Fred and Joyce, at the dealership in 1978.
In 1992, Bromley and his brother Terry purchased the business from their parents and in 1995 expanded the facility to their current 40-acre location.
Bromley served on the RVDA of Manitoba board from 1996 to 1999, holding various positions before serving as president. From 1999 to 2002, he was the Manitoba representative on the RVDA of Canada board. Bromley returned to the RVDA of Canada board in 2009 in order to “step into a leadership role in the national association.”
Guest speakers during the social affair included Roy MacGregor, award-winning journalist and author, and hockey player Paul Henderson. Known for the “goal of the century,” Henderson scored the winning goal against Russia in the Summit Series 40 years ago.
