Open Range extended its popular Roamer travel trailer lineup with a 38-foot 309BHS floorplan that features an “industry-first” rear sleeping area equipped with 42-inch deep opposing bunk sliderooms. The layout, also offered in the Shipshewana, Ind.-based company’s Mesa Ridge series, offers sleeping capacity for 11 that includes a U-lounge that folds out into a full-size bed and a split-entrance front bedroom. “The floorplan obviously caters to larger families,” said Josh Streich of the marketing department. “The rear bunkhouse area offers a perfect play area for kids.” With a dry weight of 8,955 pounds, the aluminum/fiberglass 309BHS targets the half-ton towable market while also addressing space concerns by engineering a full-size exterior pass-through storage area. Other features include a 6-foot high slideroom in the living area, one-piece seamless roof, 100-inch wide platform and frameless windows. MSRP: $45,925. Open Range also introduced an RT288 floorplan in its Roamer/Mesa Ridge lines featuring a spacious layout with slides in the bedroom, living area and kitchen. MSRP: $40,705.
