Riverside RV, LaGrange, Ind., introduced a new 18 1/2-foot floorplan in its popular Retro line, building on the success of its “garageable” Retro trailer that debuted three years ago. “People really bought into not only the fact that it could be parked in a standard garage, but also the overall look,” said Bob Taulbee, sales manager. “We saw a need to expand into a larger floorplan, which is not garageable, but still has that ‘retro’ design.” Built with aluminum cage construction and 6 foot 5 inch interior headroom, the Retro 175 is set off by Riverside’s rounded front and back ends. With a dry weight of 2,600 pounds, the aerodynamic trailer can be towed by most SUVs and smaller pickup trucks. Other features include a rear queen bed, fully-equipped kitchen and a dinette that converts into a bed. Exterior color options include white, tan and pewter, all sporting a red accent. MSRP: $17,800. The company also debuted an 8 1/2-foot wide, wood-and-aluminum Whitewater 173 trailer that can be towed by V-6-powered vehicles. MSRP: $17,238.
