Russ Patton, owner of Byerly RV in Eureka, Mo., pledged an additional $10,000 to the RV Learning Center. According to a press release, the new pledge brings Byerly’s total commitment to $46,000.
The RV Learning Center’s yearly fundraising drive started at the RV Dealers Convention/Expo in October and runs through June, 2013, the end of the Learning Center’s fiscal year. Donations support continued and improved educational offerings, publications, certifications, and training specific to personnel working in RV dealerships.
New donor categories were announced with this year’s campaign and Byerly’s $46,000 commitment puts Patton’s dealership into the top giving category, Major Gifts. The Major Gifts category is for donors making cumulative donations or pledges of $25,000 or more.
“Russ Patton shows, once more, that he is steadfastly committed to a flourishing industry and to excellence in dealership training and education,” said RV Learning Center Chairman Jeff Pastore of Hartville RV Center in Hartville, Ohio. “Through his donation this year, and his contributions over time, Russ continues strengthening our industry and providing new opportunities for dealership personnel to learn and grow professionally. The whole industry benefits from his generosity and foresight.”
