RV toyhaulers have been utilized for some time in a variety of applications by motorsports enthusiasts, hobbyists and small business owners. Now, there’s a new entry for car show participants. Forest River’s Work & Play 38CH “car hauler” is built to be the heaviest-duty hauler on the market, boasting a 17-foot-long garage, 7,000-pound payload capacity on tandem axles and a cargo-trailer frame, according to Work & Play general manager Lawton Tinley. The 38-foot prototype model shown at this winter’s Louisville Show will likely be updated based on dealer feedback with longer floorplans and features that include slideouts, built-in TVs and more furniture packages, says Tinley, adding that an “escape door” near the car driver’s door can be incorporated into the garage wall. “The Work & Play is a true hauler that’s Herculean in strength,” Tinley told “We want to keep our dripping-with-testosterone reputation, but we want to add plenty of comfort to make it very liveable.” MSRP: $62,300.
