German OEM Debuts Colossal Centurion Coach
German motorhome manufacturer Concorde Reisemobile GmbH recently unveiled its new Centurion 1200 motorhome at the CMT Holiday Exhibition in Stuttgart. The RVing Examiner reported that the launch of the mega-motorhome, based on the heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz Actros truck chassis, had been plugged solidly on the company’s Facebook page for prior to the show. Concorde’s aptly named “Centurion” rests on the triple-axle Mercedes-Benz Actros 2542 chassis and includes full air suspension. Powered by a six-cylinder 12.8 litre engine that’s mated to a fully automatic 12-speed Mercedes PowerShift transmission. Concorde — originally established in 1981 as an RV components manufacturer — began specialist trailer production in 1982 and motor home production in 1983.
