Supplier PullRite, Mishawaka, Ind., reports that it sold more RV hitches in 2012 than in any year since 2007 and that new products have produced record sales at five distributor shows already this year.
”We are seeing a dramatic up-trend,” National Sales Manager Scott Later told RVBUSINESS.com during the recent Stag-Parkway show in San Antonio, Texas.
PullRite manufactures fifth-wheel hitches for long- and short-bed pickup trucks.
”We are very, very optimistic,” Later said. ”We’re seeing people who maybe during the downturn really wanted a fifth-wheel but settled for something less. Now, they are going to upgrade and get the unit they wanted.”
New items offered by PullRite include:
· Custom Mounting Kits for all of our ISR (industry standard rail) line of hitches that eliminate any drilling on the truck frame and can be installed by one person.
· OE Series Hitches for Ford trucks, both long and short bed that are purchased with the factory prep kit, where attachment points are already in the bed of the truck.
· A new 24K PullRite hitch for heavier trailers and higher tow rated trucks.
