Travel-Lite Inc. has simplified the buying process for those interested in its 15- to 18-foot Cobblestone by Idea travel trailers because — other than the decor and floorplan — there are no options. ”It just comes completely loaded,” said Dustin Johns, president of the New Paris, Ind., towable builder. ”When a dealer or retail customer buys one, there’s not a single option on my option sheet. They pick the model … (and) decor. That’s it.” With a dry weight between 2,500 pounds and 3,000 pounds, Travel-Lite is dipping into the ultra-lightweight towable market to appeal to owners of SUVs and small pickups. Among the hung-fiberglass Cobblestone’s most dynamic features is a ”Granicote” finish on the front cap that sports specs of white, black and dark brown. ”The front cap creates a textured look like a high-end countertop, very rich and distinctive,” Johns said. Standard features on the Idea Cobblestone, with retail prices that start at $17,995, include power awnings, electric tongue jack, 19-inch flat screen TV with a DVD player, roof air, molded ”Granicote” countertops, raised panel cherry cabinet, dinette table, 3-cubic-foot 3-way refrigerator, two-burner stove top with built in microwave, beveled-edged hardwood floors, heated holding tanks and heavy-duty insulation with R-values of over 40.
