Factory-direct NeXus RV LLC plans to be in full production in May on its new custom-built Ghost ”Super C” motorhome shown for the first time to the general public at the Florida RV Trade Association’s (FRVTA) Florida RV SuperShow in mid-January. The Ghost, built on 19,500-pound GVWR Navistar International Terra Star chassis powered by a 300-hp Maxx Force 7 diesel engine, is available in triple-slide 34-foot and double-slide 36-foot floorplans. Selling at ”wholesale” pricing for $139,999 at NeXus’ Elkhart, Ind. plant, Ghost establishes a new price point for heavy-duty Class C’s, according to Vice President Dave Middleton. ”There was no price point like this for a Super C that could tow 100,000 pounds,” Middleton told RVBUSINESS.com. NeXus President Claude Donati said the Ghost’s versatility is a compelling sales advantage. ”We recognize people have different needs for this type of product,” Donati said. ”Some want it to tow with, some want height, some want size, some want luxury. We are going to meet every one of those customer needs based on our factory-direct model to build it to spec.” Features include seamless fiberglass sidewalls with an Azdel substrate, fiberglass front cap, heated-and-enclosed tanks, ducted heat and A/C, Corian countertops and hardwood cabinets.
