RV Safety Advocate RVSEF Marking 20th Year

The RV Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF) is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a safety advocate for the RV industry.
According to a press release, RVers, manufacturers, service centers, show promoters and insurance companies have all benefited from its services and dedication over the past two decades.
RVSEF’s precursor,A’Weigh We Go (AWWG), was created by John Anderson, who discovered that many RVs were leaving the factory decidedly overweight, risking personal and product safety. Subsisting solely on industry sponsorships, RVSEF has developed numerous safety seminars and driver training events at venues nationwide. In addition, RVSEF works closely with the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) and the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), coordinating safety programs at the manufacturing and dealer levels.
Since 2010, RVSEF has presented an annual college-style event — the RV Lifestyle, Education and Safety Conference — for new and experienced RV owners. It’s the only learning event with representation from RV and supplier manufacturing ranks, retail dealerships and aftermarket service providers. Award-winning industry executives, authors, and educators make up the teaching faculty.
The 2013 conference will take place in Colorado Springs, May 14-18. RVSEF is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization based in Merritt Island, Fla. For more information, click here.
