RVIA’s Redfern Promoted, Replacing Morrison
The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) announced that Karen Redfern has been promoted to senior director of marketing communications.
“After Chris Morrison’s retirement in May, Karen has taken on increased responsibility for the marketing communications efforts for RVIA and, more prominently, the Go RVing program,” said RVIA President Richard Coon. “Working alongside RVIA Vice President of Advertising and Public Relations James Ashurst and other team members, she has played a key role in managing the strategy and execution of Go RVing’s new ‘AWAY’ campaign.
“She has also shown strong leadership and vision in our digital media efforts, developing and evaluating new approaches to deliver Go RVing messages to more consumers. Moving forward, we will continue to lean on Karen’s talents as we look to further expand the Go RVing activities conducted on behalf of the industry.”
Redfern started with RVIA in 1988 as media relations manager and has served as director of marketing communications since 2007. Part of the association’s advertising and public relations team, she has also served as public relations manager and director of publications and consumer information.
