RV Forum: Ingrassia Says Tech Training is Vital
RVBusiness and Blue Ox, a leading supplier of towing products based in Pender, Neb., are introducing a new thought-provoking, web feature on RVBUSINESS.com — the “RVForum” – the first installment of which, a commentary from Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) President Phil Ingrassia regarding technician training, debuts today (March 21). To access, click here or click on the “RV Forum” box located on the right side of the RVBUSINESS.com home page.
“Every time (Blue Ox President) Jay Hesse and I sit down over lunch, as we did at a recent distributor meeting, we wind up resolving most of the world’s problems over a sandwich and a pop,” says RVBusiness Publisher Sherman Goldenberg. “So, this time we thought about creating this new concept called the ‘RVForum,’ which is essentially a slot on the right side of the RVBUSINESS.com home page through which industry opinion leaders and others with views worth airing are invited to step up – one each for a two-week run — and sound off on a topic of their choosing.”
The goal, as it was for last year’s RVB/Blue Ox Survey, is to make people think, regardless of their viewpoints, and at times help provide some resolution – if not some comic relief – on a variety of topics.
“There are plenty of ideas that need to be aired that might not otherwise get a public hearing,” said Hesse, a board member of the RV/MH Hall of Fame whose company specializes in products like towbars, baseplates, braking systems, towing accessories, hitches, and steering controls. “And I think this is a pretty good way to go about doing that for people in this industry, especially those who don’t often take the opportunity to speak up.”
