The Ross family was the first family to participate in our Operation Appreciation.

For a third year, Topeka, Ind.-based CrossRoads RV will be partnering with Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Barton Lake in Fremont, Ind., to provide free lodging for any active-duty military personnel and their families.

According to a press release, this was a program introduced by CrossRoads President Don Emahiser in 2010 as a way to “give a little back for the sacrifice our local military families have gone through and provide some well-deserved rest and relaxation.”

Jellystone donates a seasonal lot while CrossRoads RV supplies a luxurious Hampton destination trailer.  The program begins April 14 and runs through the camping season.  Located in Northeast Indiana 50 miles north of Fort Wayne, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort in Fremont offers fun for the whole family including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water zone, boat rentals, miniature golf, a playground facility and horseshoe pits.

“At Crossroads, we see the Operation Appreciation program as a small way we can give back to the military community,” said Emahiser. “Last year we were able to give more than 25 military families time together in a recreational setting.  We are extremely proud of that and are looking forward to hosting more of our local service families this year,” he added.
