Airxcel Inc. Announces Jeff Rutherford as COO

Airxcel Inc. President and CEO Mel Adams announced that Jeff Rutherford has been named as COO for the Wichita, Kan.-based supplier, effective June 1. According to a news release, Rutherford will be responsible for the three operating divisions of Airxcel: RV Products, Wichita; Suburban, Dayton, Ohio; and Marvair, Cordele, Ga.

“Jeff brings to this new assignment over 25 years of OEM and aftermarket experience in the auto and RV industries,” Adams said. “Airxcel is fortunate to have Jeff join the Airxcel team in this senior management position.”

Prior to joining Airxcel, Rutherford had been president of Carefree of Colorado, a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of RV awnings and shades.

“Airxcel and its management team have a great reputation in the industries served for high-quality product, leading brands and service,” Rutherford said. “I’m excited and honored to join the Airxcel team and look forward to contributing to the company’s future growth.”

Adams will remain as Airxcel CEO, developing company vision, strategy, direction and long-term goals. Rutherford will oversee company operations and performance.

Airxcel is a supplier of Coleman-Mach air conditioners, Suburban furnaces, water heaters and cooking appliances, and Marvair climate control HVAC equipment for the RV, telecommunications, school and marine industries.

    Congratulations to Jeff on his well earned opportunity – congratulation to Mel on recognizing and recruiting such an outstanding exec to his Team.
