Caravan Salon Düsseldorf Set for 20th Edition
The 20th edition of Caravan Salon, set to run Aug. 31–Sept. 8 (trade visitor day on Aug. 30) at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, will present an extensive international lineup of 120 RV and motorhome brands along with 570 vendor exhibits.
“In Halls 9 to 17 as well as at the outdoor areas, Caravan Salon will offer the largest selection of mobile leisure products worldwide. Demand from exhibiting companies has been so huge that all halls are completely booked already,” stated Director Helmut Winkler in a press release.
Winkler said that Caravan Salon will deliver a broad overview of the RV market including compact, versatile and aero-dynamic vehicles. “The fact that Caravan Salon is not limited to vehicles makes the event particularly popular,” he noted. “The large variety and thematic diversity also includes accessories, upgrade parts, camping gear and tents as well as travel destinations, camping sites and motorhome parks.”
Halls 9 to 12 as well as Halls 14, 16 and 17 will be reserved for vehicles. Industrial suppliers will be located in Hall 13. Offerings from the tent, accessories and tourism sectors will be presented together in Hall 15, while motorhomes will be located in the outdoor area. In front of Hall 4, visitors can test drive motorhomes and RVs.
A special exhibition this year will be dedicated to the “off-road” theme, giving visitors the opportunity to test these vehicles in the outdoor area or to be driven as a passenger across the adventure course.
In addition to its own display, the host German Caravanning Industry Association (CIVD) will also present the special exhibition “Experience Caravanning” with activity stations. The CIVD will also hold a raffle as visitors will have the chance to win a Fendt Brillant 465 SFB caravan valued or a Knaus Van TI 550 MD luxury motorhome.
Caravan Salon will again offer an informative and entertaining program complementing the exhibitors’ products. At the “Dream Tour Cinema” Konstantin Abert will recount his journey around the world and, along with Jeanette Emerich and Uwe Hamm, will talk about unique travel destinations. The younger visitors will find plenty of activities in the “Adventure Camp”.
As in the past, the hiking and trekking trade fair TourNatur will again be held in conjunction with Caravan Salon on the second weekend (Sept. 6 – 8). Hiking enthusiasts will get up-to-date information on the most beautiful hiking destinations and the latest hiking and trekking equipment. A total of 275 exhibitors will present about 5,000 travel destinations, while independent hiking experts will offer tips for planning tours.
