Mike Snell

Editor’s Note: Industry veteran Mike Snell was recently named president of Monaco and Holiday Rambler as a result of Allied Specialty Services Inc.’s acquisition of the RV assets of Navistar Inc. Snell has logged over 20 years with Monaco, serving as a longtime executive for Monaco Coach Corp. and most recently as vice president of sales for Monaco RV under the Navistar umbrella. The following is a note to customers in the first e-newsletter since the acquisition was announced.

Twenty years ago I joined Monaco, and our dream was to make the most beautiful, innovative and high-quality RVs in the industry. And we did. Through the years, Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Beaver and Safari weathered storms and enjoyed good times as well. It was a dream come true.

The last four years have been a test for the industry and quite honestly challenging for all involved with Monaco RV, including our valued customers. Many of the world’s greatest brands reached a tipping point – they either disappeared or were reborn. We reached that moment on May 16, 2013, when Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV) gave us the opportunity to begin a new era.

Two decades with one company is a long time, but for me this is just the beginning. Look for Monaco and Holiday Rambler to not only survive, but to be even better. Yes, we’re here to stay – The Dream is Alive.
