Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales were up 4.4% in April while registrations were edged down 2.3% for the first four months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.
Thor Industries Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 33.6% market share, followed by Forest River Inc. (16.1%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (14.5%).
Class A registrations climbed 9.4% in April from the year prior but fell 4.7% year-to-date. Thor was No. 1 in the category for the four months with a 23.9% market share, ahead of Fleetwood RV Inc. (15.6%), Forest River (14.6%) and Winnebago (13.6%).
In the Class C segment, April sales were flat, up 1.3%, and showed no change in unit sales from a year ago for the four months. Thor held the top spot year-to-date with a 42.2% market share followed by Forest River (17.4%), Winnebago (15.3%) and Jayco (13.6%).
