San Diego-based La Mesa RV Center has opened a fourth Florida location by leasing the 120,000-square-foot former Sarasota-Bradenton International Convention Center and surrounding 17 acres of land.
The Tampa Business Journal reported that Oscar R. Parsons owns the property, originally built as a Sam’s Club. It operated as a convention center for about 10 years. The facility offers an expansive display area while also providing an indoor, air-conditioned sales environment.
LaMesa, founded in 1972, currently operates 13 sales and service centers, including Florida locations in Orlando, Fort Meyers and West Palm Beach along with Sarasota.
