California-based multilocation dealer Mike Thompson RV Super Stores held it “Drive for a Cause” charity golf tournament on July 22, benefiting the Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles/Orange County/Inland Empire chapters. According to a press release, the event was staged at Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier, Calif.
The dealership reported that the sold-out event was attended by executives of the RV industry from across the country along with vendors, sponsors, friends and employees of Mike Thompson RV and the Make-A-Wish staff. Parents of children that were recipients of granted wishes were present to share their heartwarming stories of the positive impact the Make-A-Wish organization had in their families. In addition, Los Angeles media personalities were in attendance.
David Revere, tournament chairperson for Mike Thompson RV noted, “The success of our 3rd Annual Mike Thompson’s RV Charity Golf Tournament was truly outstanding. Breena Gold, Lisa Baxter, and Sarah Pizzaruso from the Make-A-Wish Foundation were fantastic to work with and gave us all the support we needed to host this event. We’re busy tallying up the total donation and excited to present a check to this tremendous charitable organization.”
He added, “Mike Thompson’s RV Charities would like to also thank the local community and our sponsor friends for the incredible support.
