MotorHome Exec Settles in at Winnebago Rally
Bob Livingston looked at a lot of new products during the recently completed Winnebago Itasca Travelers Grand National Rally (GNR) at the builder’s Rally Grounds in Forest City, Iowa.
But, according to a report in the Mason City Globe Gazette, he doesn’t intend to buy any. Instead, his opinions can help potential buyers with decisions about Winnebago products.
“I come out every year to look at new products,” said Livingston, publisher of MotorHome and Trailer Life magazines.
Livingston and his wife, Lynne, stayed in a Winnebago motorhome during the rally held July 21-26.
“I live in it a couple of days before I write notes,” Livingston said during the GNR’s opening ceremony. “I’ll start writing notes tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday. I’ve got to get a feel for it first.”
Livingston said the industry has been more innovative in the past several years as manufacturers “benefit from the use of technology which allows them to add more features and be more creative and cost effective while doing so.”
“The surprising thing as we are seeing jumps in innovations, we are not seeing the prices go up (dramatically),” he added. “Winnebago is right on top with innovations.”
