Atwood's award from RVAA

Atwood Mobile Products LLC announced that its On-Demand Water Heater (ODWH) was named the 2013 Product of the Year runner-up at the Recreational Vehicle Aftermarket Association (RVAA) Executive Conference in Boston.

According to a press release, the Product of the Year is voted on by a panel of select dealer and distributor judges and the ODWH received the highest voting of any appliance. Awards were presented during a luncheon on Aug. 14.

“Since the day the On-Demand Water Heater was introduced we knew we had something special and this award helps to reinforce that fact,” said Trey Miller, director of sales, aftermarket, for Elkhart, Ind.-based Atwood. “What makes this even more rewarding is the point that it was voted on by a cross-section of dealers and distributors who have seen new products come and go over the years and this supports to us that this is an innovative appliance with longevity.”

The Atwood On-Demand Tankless Water Heater offers endless hot water, while saving LP gas and eliminating up to 100 pounds of excess weight. With a class leading 50,000 BTUs of water heating power, the ODWH will transform incoming water at as cold as near freezing temperatures to a comfortable hot shower.

The unit comes standard with a cold weather kit that will keep any residual water from freezing in the unit and will fit in nearly any 6-, 10-, 12- or 16-gallon water heater cutout.
