The Atlanta Camping World/Good Sam Rally America’s will run Oct. 17-20 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, a first for the infield of the famed 1.54-mile quad-oval track.

According to a press release, the event will bring thousands of RV enthusiasts together to experience world-class evening entertainment along with slate of activities while shopping among hundreds of new RVs, outdoor products and camping accessories.

“We look forward to introducing new outdoor products and family fun to attendees of the Atlanta Camping World/Good Sam Rally,” said Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World Inc. and Good Sam Enterprises LLC, who is also starring in “The Profit” on CNBC. “We are thrilled to offer a wide variety of towable and motorized RVs, as well as outdoor and RV products, to not only RV enthusiasts, but also to Georgia residents who are curious about the lifestyle and want an opportunity to learn more.”

Attendees who arrive early on Oct. 16 will get a sneak peek at the showcase of recreational vehicles. With the RV market at it’s best in the past seven years, an all-time high attendance is expected. Rally-goers will also be presented with many opportunities to learn about RVs and the RV industry from manufacturer representatives on-site and seminars.

Entertainment peaks at night with shows starting Oct. 18 as the iconic Beach Boys, with front man Mike Love, will perform the group’s classic surf tunes. On Oct. 19, 20-time Grammy winner Vince Gill takes the stage. As a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Gill has become the measure of excellence in country music with over 26 million albums sold and various CMA and Academy of Country Music awards. This will be Gill’s second rally appearance, performing at the Oregon Camping World/Good Sam Rally in 2011.

Other scheduled entertainment includes:

• Bob Blumer, host of “Surreal Gourmet,” “Glutton for Punishment,” and producer and host of “World’s Weirdest Restaurants” on the Food Network, will perform Friday and Saturday at the “Day Stage.” Blumer shares his culinary skills by transforming ordinary ingredients into inspiring dishes through simple cooking methods, sponsored by Camping World.

• Dog lovers can participate in the “Release the Hounds” dog show sponsored by Camping World and Good Sam Pet Insurance, and enjoy a professional performance by the K9 Kings Flying Dog Show, which includes the largest meet and greet pet area, the fastest Frisbee dog in the world and the first daredevil dog agility.

• An array of optional activities are also organized by the rally, such as an excursion through Atlanta’s historic landmarks, rides in a Vietnam-era helicopter, RV safe driver training and tours of the World of Coca-Cola and the CNN Center.

Rally-goers are encouraged to get involved as “Blanketeers” for the 2013 Rally Blanket Drive to benefit Project Linus. Camping World/Good Sam is partnering with Project Linus to collect blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Campers can participate by knitting, crocheting, quilting, or creating “no sew” fleece blankets.

On Oct. 20, rally guests can partake in the Salute to Veterans, which has previously had over 600 veteran participants included in the moving tribute. All military veterans are invited to join in the longstanding tradition of pass and review and are encouraged to wear any part of the original uniform.

Gates open each day at 9 a.m. for the rally. Registration starts at $199 which includes four days of RV camping and all festivities. Passports are available to purchase for those that want to enjoy the festivities without camping onsite. Day passes start at $10 per person and parking and children 17 and under are free.
