Goshen, Ind.-based Keystone RV Co.’s very first brand — Sprinter — has undergone its most significant upgrade in the company’s 17-year history, according to a press release.
Across the board, Sprinter weights have been significantly reduced while achieving a 100-inch wide-body construction, making the latest lineup of travel trailers and fifth-wheels the lightest and most spacious every built.
“We have enjoyed significant market share growth over the past year,” said Josh Miller, Sprinter product manager. “Our dealers have been telling us they love the look of the product, our floorplan selection and our refocus on the Sprinter theme of ‘Camping Made Easy.’ When we discussed ways to further enhance the Sprinter product line we wanted to keep it simple. The message from the dealers having success with the product was to focus on reducing weight, maintain Sprinters’ core identity, and make the product unique.
“We ended up doing all of that in a big way. Reducing weight and achieving a wide-body design enabled us to accomplish those goals along with adding more ‘Camping Made Easy’ features and living space. Dealers and customers alike will love that this is a story unique to Sprinter.”
Among the major enhancements to the new Sprinter:
• Weight reduction of 500-700 pounds per floorplan.
• Increase of 5% additional useable interior space.
• King beds in all models.
• The highest tank capacities of any trailer or fifth-wheel in this class.
• An upgraded insulation package that was independently tested to perform at zero-degrees and 100-degrees.
• New décor with fabrics by Better Homes and Gardens.
In addition, the Sprinter fifth-wheel line will showcase an all-new front cap with dramatic LED accent lighting and “MaxTurn Technology” for 30% better turning radius.
The new lightweight, wide-body Sprinter travel trailers and fifth-wheels are currently in production and will begin shipping to dealers before the end of August. They will be on display at the Elkhart County RV Open House, September 17-19, in Keystone’s exhibit at the RV Hall of Fame.
