California-based McMahon’s RV made a food donation for the 2nd annual FEED SoCAL campaign that was promoted by ABC (channel 7) and several other sponsors, according to a press release. During an on-air interview, Paul Shilperoort, director of operations for McMahon’s RV, told reporter Alysha Del Valle of ABC how McMahon’s was proud to be involved with the FEED SoCAL program. Schilperoort said the bags of food donated with several cases of water that day was the beginning of a week-long program at McMahon’s RV. The dealership in Westminster has pledged to donate an additional $300 for each motorhome sold at that store for the next seven days. The food drive program began on July 19 with drop off locations in Culver City, Thousand Oaks, Costa Mesa and Ontario. The FEED SoCAL program consists of The Los Angeles Food Bank that serves one million people in Los Angeles County each year. The Second Harvest Food Bank serves over 350,000 people each month in the Inland Empire, and the FOOD Share Ventura County provides food year-round to more than 74,500 families each month.
