Precision Wire custom-makes its products. And apparently, that is making a difference.

According to a report in the South Bend Tribune, the company recently completed an expansion at its North Webster, Ind., site, where it added a second production line and six new jobs.

The company now employs 23 people. It started with one employee, current co-owner Greg Snavely, in 1982, and had just five employees when it incorporated in 1987. It expects to add to the 23 in the future, according to co-owner Jodi Mikesell.

Precision Wire specializes in custom wire design for specialty vehicles. It makes harnesses for school buses, conversion vans, converted buses, RVs, boats and other specialty vehicles.

“They’re premade wire harnesses that hook up to everything in their vehicle that they need,” Mikesell said.
