Getting sued by an employee can be an employer’s worst nightmare; expensive to fend off, time-consuming, and divisive among the staff and management. According to a press release, dealers can learn how to avoid in an important webinar from the RV Learning Center at noon EDT on Thursday (Aug. 8). Dealers can register for the event online.
The webinar, available to RV dealers through a partnership with online marketing firm KPA, will explain how to avoid being sued by employees for harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour law violations. The training will show how to protect business interests while safeguarding employee rights the laws were put in place to protect.
John Boggs, managing partner of Fine, Boggs and Perkins, will review the top 10 reasons dealerships are sued by employees and how to avoid being involved in litigation. Boggs will discuss the “dos” and “don’ts” of wage and hour law, why good sexual harassment awareness training is so critical, and how to protect your dealership against discrimination claims. Using real world examples and drawing on more than 20 years of experience working with dealerships, he will provide practical advice on ways to minimize the risk of a lawsuit and what to do if your dealership is sued.
If unable to attend register to receive a link to a recording of the webinar along with the presentation slides.
