Platinum Exterior Sets Off Heartland Sundance
Adding value and appeal to its Sundance lineup for 2014, Heartland Recreational Vehicles LLC is offering the high-end Platinum Package in the brand’s XLT mid-profile fifth-wheels and travel trailer lines.
“Our XLT and Sundance travel trailer lineup is growing and the dealer turn times have been very good,” said Paul Craven, general manager for the Elkhart, Ind.-based builder. “By offering the successful Platinum package in these other areas, we will give our dealers the ability to sell a high-end exterior across our entire lineup.”
Targeted for a debut at the upcoming Elkhart County RV Open House, the XLT Platinum Sundance will showcase new taupe-colored, high-gloss exterior sidewalls. Extending the polished look, the model also features bonded frameless windows and a metallic painted front cap.
“Frameless windows will be available on every price point inside the Sundance family,” said Craven. “Dealers who have been to Heartland the last few weeks have loved what they have seen.”
“The Platinum Package essentially broadens the market and adds value to our Sundance XLT line,” noted Coley Brady, vice president of sales for the Thor Industries Inc. subsidiary. “It bridges the gap between the mid-profile and high-profile markets, and gives our dealers another profitable step-up piece.”
He added, “When dealers critically review all the mid-profile fifth-wheels at the Open House I’m confident they will find the Sundance the best value for their investment.”
Available in five floorplans, other standard features include LED awnings, slam-latch baggage doors, solid-surface countertops and chestnut cabinets. Heartland also engineered a complete redesign of the pass-through storage area providing some of the largest capacity in the lightweight fifth-wheel market.
“These units will also be available with 50-amp service,” said Craven, noting that Heartland would also be displaying five new fifth-wheel and travel trailer Sundance floorplans at the Open House.
Brady added, “We will build what consumers want to buy. The Platinum Package has been a huge success with all of our dealers and we want to carry that momentum to other areas in the Sundance lineup.”
