Editor’s Note: The following was issued by the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) notifying members on the passing of Sharon Horsey, wife of former RVDA Chairman Rick Horsey.

Sharon L. Horsey of Dover, Del., passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Sept. 21 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 60.

Sharon Horsey started her professional career at Del Tech Terry Campus as an administrative assistant. In 1985, she started working in the family business, Parkview RV. The dealership was founded by Robert and Lucille Horsey, and is currently owned and operated by their son, Rick.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Rick Horsey; her daughter, Amy West and her husband, Mike of Middletown, DE; her son, Ryan and his wife, Joy of Smyrna, DE; 6 grandchildren, Mackenzie West, Landon West, Riley Horsey, Paige West, Ramsey Horsey, and Samantha Horsey; her sister, Cindy Collins of Milford, DE; and many other loving family members.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, located at 20 W. Mt. Vernon St. in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Sharon’s memory to Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 330, Smyrna, DE 19977.
