The Michigan Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC)  will be holding a special industry meeting on Tuesday (Oct. 29) to discuss a new financing proposal.

According to a letter sent to MARVAC members, “the board is seriously considering establishing a for-profit corporation dealing with all segments of financing in our industry. This special meeting is being held in conjunction with our sister associations, Michigan Manufactured Housing Association (MMHA) and the Self Storage Association of Michigan (SSAM), in partnership with alternative investment resources. Its purpose is to inform the members of the concept of developing a lending arm, under the umbrella of the association.”

Set to begin at 8 a.m., the meeting will convene at the Suburban Collection Showcase in Novi.

“Our staff has been inundated with phone calls from our members over the past two years with their difficulties in securing financing in all segments of our industries,” the letter stated. “We know as small Michigan-based businesses that these difficulties are not going away any time soon.”
