Robert Crist Worker Recognized for Heroic Feat

An employee of Mesa, Ariz.-based dealership Robert Crist and Co. RV received a certificate of appreciation from the local fire department for “quick thinking and potentially life saving efforts” when he came to the aid of a bicycle rider struck by a pickup truck.

According to a press release, on Aug. 6 the rider was hit as the truck was pulling out of the RV dealership in Mesa. After being struck, the victim was trapped and sandwiched between the asphalt and the truck with the bike wedged between his body and the truck bottom.

Timothy Allgood, who operating a forklift at the company, witnessed the accident. He alertly drove the forklift to the scene and lifted the pickup off of the victim prior to the fire department’s arrival, possibly saving his life.
