All-New ‘SlideOutLift’ Debuts at Louisville Show
RVincidents, Nixa, Mo., is debuting a product designed to simplify repairs and installation of slideout rooms at this week’s 51st Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., with
According to a press release, the SlideOutLift eliminates the need for forklifts or cranes. One technician can roll the device under the slideout, raise the jacks to transfer weight from the RV to the SlideOutLift, and then glide the slideout room from the RV without damaging seals, trim, walls or risk of personal injury. After repairs are completed the tech reverses the process and the room is reinserted and adjusted to fit the opening with precision.
“Today, RV manufacturers are installing an average of three slideout rooms per new RV,” said RVincidents owner Bud Nickl. “Dealer and independent repairers need to become more efficient removing, reinstalling and adjusting these rooms. Handling the big boxes often result in back, arm and hand injuries.”
Nickl reported that he conducted three years of “on the job testing” at an RV repair and restoration specialty facility prior to marketing the product to the RV industry.
“The SlideOutLift improves job safety and repair efficiency while lowering operating costs,” Nickl said. “One person can now do what four or more did and the equipment does not require fuel, propane, electricity or routine maintenance.
