Ashland, Va.-based McGeorge’s Rolling Hills RV continues to expand. According to a report in the Richmond Times Dispatch, owner Ed McGeorge started with nine acres when he moved to the dealership’s current site from a nearby location in 2001. Now the dealership sits on 31 acres.

And he is about to begin construction on a 30,000-square-foot sales center set to open next summer with offices and some of the area used for service. In addition, he will devote the current 22,000-square-foot facility to service bays, going from 12 to 24.

“Then we can service everybody who comes to us,” McGeorge said, “not just the people who buy their RVs from us. We hate to turn people away, but with the space we have now, we can’t house the staff to service everybody.”

Rolling Hills has 82 employees now and will increase staff to 105 after the expansion, he said. When all the work is done, Rolling Hills will have better display space, more parking space for customers — many of whom arrive in RVs — and will have tripled space for parts and accessories.
