Snowbirds staying in RV parks are putting money into the Tucson, Ariz., economy. KVOA TV reported that the most recent scientific study shows winter visitors who live in RV parks bring about $600 million to the state’s economy. Flexsteel Settles ‘Water Contamination Lawsuit’

A Dubuque, Iowa-based furniture maker is paying $6.25 million to settle a lawsuit alleging it polluted the water wells of some Elkhart, Ind., homes. The Elkhart Truth reported that Flexsteel Industries Inc. admitted no wrongdoing in the settlement, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) announced that as 2013 comes to a close, the U.S. recreational boating industry will continue its post-recession climb with an estimated 5% increase in new powerboat retail sales. Consumer spending rose in November by the most in five months as discounts lured early holiday shoppers, giving the U.S. economy a boost at the end of 2013. HSM Joins Firefighters in ‘Bikes for Tykes’ Event
