Woody’s RV World announces that Darva MacBeth, current vice president and company shareholder, will be retiring from both her positions, effective Dec. 1.

According to a press release, MacBeth was one of the earliest employees at the Calgary, Alberta-based dealer. During her tenure she served in a variety of roles, including establishing the business office at Woody’s RV World, being general manager of Capital RV (Red Deer), and the construction of several projects, most notably the Woody’s RV World Edmonton location.

MacBeth also oversaw challenges from hiring and supporting many managers, to championing employee awards for year-end recognition. She has also been a great contributor to the RV industry, serving as president of the Alberta Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) and as director on the RVDA of Canada board.

The management position of vice president will not be replaced moving ahead and existing Woody’s RV World managers are expecting very few operational changes inside of the company. “Operationally, the company has never been in a stronger position, filling key management roles such as operations manager, sales director and parts director,” noted Woody’s RV World President Darren Paylor.

Although leaving the RV industry, MacBeth said she is excited about the prospect of pursuing other opportunities that will give her the flexibility to spend more time with family, friends and on her many other interests.

“We are truly grateful for Darva’s service, business expertise, leadership and support,” said Paylor. “She will be missed greatly”.
