RVs were in the national spotlight on New Year’s Day when Great American Country (GAC) premiered “RV 2014,” the annual RV special that was broadcast on HGTV in previous years. According to a press release, the special will be rebroadcast on HGTV in the coming weeks.

The annual RV special showcased RVs from all major product classes while following three families on the hunt for the RV right for them.

This marks the 16th consecutive year that Scripps Networks, which owns HGTV and GAC, has showcased new RV products and trends in a one-hour program. The RV program has been a highly rated program and a draw to their website. In addition to the television special, HGTV has launched an online photo tour of some of the RVs featured on this year’s program.

Producers worked with the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) to tape this year’s show last September at the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Show in Hershey.

HGTV and GAC are two of cable’s most popular networks among the demographics most likely to be RV buyers. HGTV is distributed to more than 99 million U.S. households; GAC reaches 63 million homes. Check local listings for RV 2014 rebroadcast dates throughout the year.

was so disappointed not to see the HGTV air the RV show at Hershey, Pa. I had the date on our calendar and had seen it listed in Trailer Life. Wonder why it was not aired here?
