Wholesale shipments of all RVs continued to rise in January but at a slower pace than last year. The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) reported that shipments totaled 25,467 units, 4.5% greater than the same month last year and the best January total since 2007. Severe weather across the country affected the ability to build, ship and sell new product in January this year and there is confidence of even better results in the coming months. Towable RV shipments grew to 22,199 units in January, 1.8% better than a year ago. Motorhomes were up 26.8% on shipments of 3,268 units raising this category to 12.8% of all RV shipments this month.
